Sophie slammed the door to the bakery and marched over to her best friend Lila. “Whoa. What's got you in such a sour mood today?
"My next-door neighbor."
"What did he do now?"
“Complained about my dog.”
“What? Isn't the one that let's his dog out all hours of the night?”
"Not only that, but he lets his dog poop in my yard, but has the damn nerve to say crap to me about mine."
“That's ridiculous. Do I need to say something to him?
“No. It's okay. It smells good in here,” Sophie changed the subject.”
"Oh, we're making Halloween cookies tonight. Ghost cookies, your favorite."
"Hey, I was thinking... Would you like to go to the pet store with me tonight? I need to get some food for my guinea pigs."
"No, it's okay. I've gotta get back to my dog."
Once Sophie got home, she walked her dog and went inside. Little did she know that Lila followed her and was watching her neighbor.
She knocked on his door. “Excuse me? Are you Mr. Jenkins?”
“I am. Who's asking?
“A friend of Sophie's.”
"Oh, that B.."
"That B is my best friend. I've heard things about you,Mr. Jenkins. You better be careful."
“Is that a threat?”
“It's a promise.”
That day Lila came back and let loose a swarm of bees. Mr. Jenkins picked up the note and read it. “I'm not playing around, Mr. Jenkins.”
