Well, here we are. Here is your new school. You will write to us, won't you?"
“Of course, Mom.”
“Do you want us to go in with you?
"No, no. I have to take the first step to be fearless, right? I'll be okay."
“That's our fearless little girl.”
"Bye!" Melody waved to her parents as she ran into the building, colliding with a girl with brown hair and brown eyes. "Watch it, you fool."
"I-I'm so sorry. Here, let me help you-"
"I can do it myself, thanks. You better get inside.
"I'm Melody, by the way."
"I don't care about your name, dummy. But if you insist on introducing yourself, I suppose it's only fair to introduce myself, right? I'm Belinda Mays. I'm the Power Granter around here, don't mess with me, okay?"
"Sure thing, Evil Queen."
"Don't mind her. Belinda is not that bad once you get to know her, A boy said, crossing his arms against his chest."
“And you are?”
Caden put his arm around Melody and led her into the building. "This is okay, right? If you're uncomfortable.. "
“Oh, I'm fine-”
A man with black hair and eyes stood in front of them. "Who is that?"
"Oh, that's our Headmaster, Kenton Lincoln."
“Lincoln? Why is that last name so familiar?”
"Oh, you haven't heard? He's Grim's brother."
"The very one. Are you okay there? You're a bit flustered, but it's okay, all the girls get that way around Kent. Except for Belinda."
“Shut up,” Melody laughed.
Kent cleared his throat. "I'm your Headmaster, Kent Lincoln. You will address me as Wish Granter, or Headmaster, and these two lovely ladies beside me are Belinda Mays and Lydia Markem. Lydia is my advisor and will most likely stay behind the scenes, and Belinda is our Power Granter. Please follow me."
After the tour, Melody met up with Caden. "Boring tour, eh?" Melody shrugged and glanced up at Belinda. "Oh? Did something else happen between you two?"
"Erm, no.. but I just get this feeling she doesn't like me very much."
“Your feeling is spot on,” Belinda whispered to Melody before walking away.
"Well, that's just great."
"Just don't pay her any mind," Caden said.
After school, Melody was in such a hurry to get back to her dorm.. she collided with the Headmaster. "Oh my God, Headmaster. I- I'm so sorry."
“It's alright. I should have been paying attention to what I was doing. How was your first day of school, Miss Marks?”
“Belinda isn't giving you too much trouble, I hope?”
“Nothing I can't handle.”
Kent smiled. "Glad to hear it. You better get back to your dorm now. Lights are almost out, and you don't want to get caught.
"Right, see you around, Headmaster," Melody rushed off back to her dorm.
“What's that look?” Lydia asked Kent after joining him.
"Nothing, I was thinking about something. Is all the paperwork here? I'm going to visit my brother today."
“It's all there. Have a nice visit!”
Kent hesitated for a moment, but just for a moment before, knocking.
"Kent, what are you doing here?"
“Can't I visit my big brother?”
"Of course, but you never visit. Oh no. You're not falling in love again, are you?"
“Very funny. Any word on Jeanie?”
"No, She just ran out of here.. and told me she needed to talk to Shawn Paul."
“Shawn Paul? I thought she broke ties with him long ago.”
"Na, they break ties and makeup. It's a weird thing they have," Grim sighed."
“Do I detect a bit of jealousy?”
"Eww, gross. There's no way. Jeanie would never be involved with Shawn Paul.
"Oh, hello, Jeanie. I was wondering when you were going to be stopping by. I believe we have some unfinished business, don't we?"
Shawn Paul pushed Jeanie against the wall and got close to her face. Jeanie turned her face away, but Shawn Paul forced her to look at him.
"Shawn Paul, please. What the hell are you doing?"
“Shh...” Shawn Paul caressed her cheek.
Tears streamed down Jeanie's face. Shawn Paul wiped them away. "No need to cry, baby girl. I'll take care of you."
Jeanie tried to push him off her, but he slammed her back into the wall.
"Try that again, and I'll break both of your arms."
