Grim sighed. “It's nothing, Jeans.”
“Are you and Tiger together?”
"Excuse me, and how is this your business?"
"I need to know... I don't want any distractions for you."
Jeanie sighed. “Do you know how you sound right now, Grim? You sound like you're jealous. I know that's a pathetic excuse.”
“I'm not jealous!”
“Right. Why can't you be honest with me? Tell me the damn truth, Grim. Do you like me or not?”
“As a friend, yes,” Grim smiled at her.
“Okay,” Jeanie said smiled.
"But.. Um... You should let my brother know you're with Tiger."
"Are you serious? Is it not obvious? Kent has a thing for you?"
“He does? Okay, I'll tell him. I should go,” Grim walked Jeanie to the door and sighed. He shook his head. “I only want you to be happy, Jeans,” Grim said as he locked the door behind her.
Jeanie knocked on Kent's office door. His smile lit up when he saw her. "What are you doing here?"
“Need to talk about Tiger?” Kent finished for her. Jeanie nodded. She looked nervous, but so did Kent. “Sit, please.”
Jeanie took a seat across from Kent. "Is it true? Grim suspected, but I never know. Do you have feelings for me?"
"Yes, I do, but you don't return those feelings, do you?" I'm okay with that. I'm not going to lie. It hurts, but I'll be okay, Jeanie. You deserve happiness, and if Tiger makes you happy, then that's all I can hope for," Kent smiled sadly.
“First, Lydia breaks your heart, and now I am doing the same thing!”
"You are nothing like her. You are sweet and caring, Jeanie. That's why I fell for you." Kent and Jeanie hugged him before leaving.
Kent's heart sank, knowing that would probably be the last he'd see of Jeanie.
