“Can I open my eyes now?” Melody giggled.
"Surprise." Melody turned around to face a restaurant. Besides, being a jewelry designer, I wanted to have my own restaurant. Read the name."
"I chose your name because this restaurant will be as fearless you are, my dear. Let's go in, shall we?"
"Hello. Welcome to Melody's. I'm Jana. I'll be your waitress today. What can I get you to drink? Mr. Lincoln. I didn't recognize you, and so you're the namesake. It's on the house.
"Just milk please, "Melody said.
"And you, Kent?"
"Witch's Brew, please?"
“Witch's Brew is coffee here,” Jana explained noticing Melody's confused look. She excused herself and rushed off.
Kent took Melody's hand. "Do you realize we've been together for two months. To a lot of people, this might seem sudden, but I've been waiting my whole life to find someone like you." Kent got down on one knee and brought out a black box.
"Will you make me the happiest man alive and be my bride?"
"Hey, Mindy, bring out the celebration cake!" Jana called to her coworker. Kent lifted Melody's chin to his to kiss her.
Back at home, Jeanie couldn't sleep. She woke up from a terrible nightmare. "Grim?" Jeanie turned on the light to find Belinda tied to a chair.
"Oh my God. Belinda, what happened!" Jeanie rushed over to Belinda to untie her.
"Hey, toots... Did you undo my handiwork? I guess now you'll have to be punished for that, won't you?" Not knowing what to do, Jeanie stepped on his toe and pushed him out the door. She looked over at Belinda rocking back and forth.
"You're safe now. Did he hurt you?" Belinda shook her head.
"Belinda, what happened?"
"I went to the kitchen to get a snack. I heard the door open and I thought it was Melody and Kent coming back from their date, but when I turned, it was that guy. Before I could scream, he covered my mouth and dragged me to the chair so he could tie me up. He told me if I screamed, he'd go upstairs and find you."
"You're okay now, but I think I ought to call the authorities."
“Belinda, this is a serious crime. It needs to be reported.”
Belinda jumped at the sound of the door opening.
"It's okay. It's just Melody and Kent. Kent, I need to talk to you. Melody, stay with Belinda." Jeanie led Kent into the kitchen.
"Oh my God. Anything could have happened. We need to report this and we need to find Grim. I'm going out to find Grim."
“No. Stay here with us.”
"Jeanie, we need to find Grim. He needs to know what's going on. He's been gone for two weeks now. Where did he go?"
"Fine, but if you're not back in two hours. I'm sending a search party after you," Jeanie promised. After Melody and Belinda had gone to bed, Jeanie stayed up waiting for Kent. She was just about to call a search party when he came rushing in.
"Kent, what is it?"
"I found this note. It's Grim's handwriting. He's gone, Jeanie."
“I'm sorry. Please forgive me. “ Jeanie shook her head. “No. I refuse to believe he would leave us like this."
