Time was running out. They just had to get to Belinda before it was too late. Clover's heart was pounding.
As if she was able to read her mind, Melody put her hands on Clover's shoulders. ]
"We're going to save her, Clove."
“How do you know that? What if it's too late? What if she's-?”
“We won't be and she's not."
"Again, how do you know this?"
"I know that because Belinda is headstrong. Just trust me, she won't let Shawn Paul get the best of her. I can't promise you that, but I know Belinda and she's a fighter."
Once they got to their destination, Clover tried the lock, but then banged on the door. When there was no answer, Clover banged on the door again and yelled.
"Shawn Paul, let us in right this instant!"
“And why should I do that?”
"Because if you don't, I'll kick this door down."
“Is that a threat?”
“It's a promise!”
"Getting braver, are we?" Shawn Paul asked with a smirk. Ignoring him, she pushed him and ran over to Belinda.
“Belinda. Belinda. Are you okay?”
Belinda opened her eyes and asked in groggily voice. “Do I know you?” Clover looked up at Shawn Paul with fury in her eyes.
“Oh my God! What did you do to her?”
“Nothing harmful. I just put a forgetful spell on her.”
"Don't you mean a curse? Reverse it!" "Oh, I'm sorry, but it wears off on its own."
“You son-” Clover charged at Shawn Paul.
Shawn Paul laughed. "Oh Clover, you can't fight me."
That was the last straw Clover, she was feeling taunted. Shawn Paul brought his lightning staff to her neck.
"You're going to pay for intruding on me and my house guest!"
"Intruding! You took my girlfriend hostage, and I'm going to do everything I can to make sure you pay for doing whatever you did to her!"
Clover said, hoping to distract Shawn Paul. She was able to distract him enough to kick him and kick the staff away from him, but then he pushed her down and tackled her to the ground.
“Melody! Kent! Take Belinda home. I promise I'm okay.”
"Belinda would have our heads if anything happened to you, Clover!" Melody protested.
Clover glared at Melody and Kent. "Just go! Please? I'm okay."
With one last punch to Shawn Paul, Clover ran out of there to catch up with Melody and Kent. Once back at their place, she tried to catch her breath.
"How long do you think this curse will last?" Clover asked.
"It can be anywhere from a few hours, or a few days."
“A few days? Kent! She's the headmistress of the school!”
“It looks like you're going to have to step in.”
“What? I don't know anything about running a school!”
"Come on, I'll help you. Belinda's in good hands with Melody, I promise."
Once they were gone, Melody turned to Belinda
"Belinda, they're gone. You can stop pretending now."
"I'm sorry, have we met before?" Belinda asked.
Realizing she wasn't pretending, Melody's knees buckled. She was going to do everything in her power to help her friend remember again.
