Flower Perkins smiled and found her way to the audience.
Tiger tapped Flower on the shoulder. "He wasn't giving you a hard time, right?"
'Nah. I just wanted to wish him luck tonight.”
The curtains opened and out stepped the announcer. "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us tonight. "Let's start the ceremony."
There was a long silence before we spoke again. "Well, this is rather unusual. It seems we have a bit of a change. It appears the award goes to Headmistress Valerie McKinley. Congrats, Val!"
Val stepped on stage just as Collin spilled a glass of water on her dress.
Everyone gasped and Flower ran up the stage to escort Collin back to the audience.
Back at home, Collin faced Kent's wrath. "I'm very disappointed in you tonight, son. I've never taught you to be a sore loser," Kent scolded his son.
