“Thanks for letting me stay here,” Olive smiled as her friend Sydney wrapped a towel around her shoulders.
“Of course. I'm sorry your parents are so judgmental.”
“I'm used to it,” Olive replied sadly.
“I believe I owe you an apology.”
“An apology for what?”
"I-I turned a blind eye to your parents."
"Syd, listen to me. You didn't turn a blind eye to anything, I just tried my best to hide the true nature of my family."
"For what it's worth, I'm proud of you. Oh, by the way, I talked to my mom and she is going to let you stay here, but not for free. She wants you to do work around the house and she'll pay you."
“It's a deal.”
Sydney put her head on Olive's shoulder and before they knew it, they were kissing.
